Green  Roof  Designs Book Launched

Green Roofs for Healthy Cities (GRHC) is pleased to announce the launch of its first book – Award Winning Green Roof Designs published by Schiffer Publishing.

The book celebrates the winners of GRHC’s annual Awards of Excellence program since its inception in 2002. The awards program was launched to showcase the extraordinary vision and leadership of forward-thinking green roof project design teams and to celebrate integrated, multifaceted green roof designs.

This groundbreaking book also features a history of the development of GRHC organization along with a discussion as to the importance of green roofs and the evolution toward a new form of design called “living architecture.”

“We are in the midst of a massive transformation that is using forward-thinking building design to heal and restore our relationship with the natural world,” said Steven. W. Peck, founder and president of GRHC, founder of the Awards of Excellence program and the book’s author.
