Clean Atlantic 2010
The Canadian Sanitation Supply Association (CSSA) will host Clean Atlantic on Sep. 29, 2010 at the Moncton Coliseum in New Brunswick. Clean Atlantic is the trade show and seminar program dedicated to the professionals who help keep Atlantic Canada clean.
With exhibitors from across Canada and the United States, the show will feature the latest products and systems that have been developed in response to the challenges you face today.
For up-to-date information on products to minimize costs, systems to maximize your return on investment, “green cleaning products” and intelligent solutions to suit your needs, you cannot afford to miss the most important event in the industry in Atlantic Canada – Clean Atlantic 2010.
In addition to the trade show, CSSA is planning three informative education sessions over the course of the day.
At 9 a.m. Carl Duivenvoorden will present “An Inconvenient Truth.” The session is an overview of the environmental challenges that we are going to face in the future, including the causes, symptoms and effects of climate change; what’s behind climate change (the addiction to fossil fuels); related concerns such as biodiversity, resource depletion, food products, etc.; and where we are going globally.
That afternoon, at 1 p.m., Duivenvoorden will discuss “Your Green Filter.” The session will provide an eye-opening look at how our everyday decisions will impact the world around. This session will send a lasting message that will have participants thinking – and seeing – Green!
Duivenvoorden is a speaker, writer, green consultant and global warming messenger. He has spoken to over 350 audiences of all sizes, on topics ranging from efficiency to ecology to parliamentary procedure. He brings eloquence, passion, fun and interaction to every speech he delivers. His portfolio includes technical bulletins, marketing materials, speaking notes, magazines articles and commentaries. He writes a bi-weekly column in the New Brunswick Telegraph Journal.
Additionally, the CSSA will conduct a Canadian Green Sustainability Program Certification Workshop at 11 a.m. Building service contractors will have an opportunity to attend a two-hour training program developed by the CSSA. This comprehensive management and operations program is standardizing the cleaning industry in Canada from coast-to-coast. Training is complete with educational materials, exam and certification. Certification under the CGSP will assist BSCs in gaining considerable visibility and credibility with “Green Certification Status.” The CGSP will help improve productivity, increase employee morale, help reduce external and internal liability and can improve company profit margins. Classroom size is limited and companies must register in advance.
